Ahoy, Mates!
I'm Captain Julee Meliza, and I'm so excited to be your commander this year! We are going to have so much fun!
I was born not far away in Shattuck, OK, into a family of educators. My father was a superintendent, and my mother taught elementary school. We soon moved to Tonkawa, where I attended grade school and graduated from high school. I went to college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, where I met my husband Sheldon. After we were married, I started teaching at Freedom School, and we soon started a family. I took a few years off to stay at home with the kids. When the twins started school, I started teaching again. Our oldest son, Ross, is 17, Adriana is 12, and twins, Trinity and Trey, are 9. We have a Pocket Beagle named Angel.
I began working in Mooreland last year, and I absolutely love it! Our school is so much like a family; we all work together very well. Thanks for allowing me the priviledge of teaching your precious children. I love each and every one!
